I love me some sandwich every once in a while. Sandwiches are like your go-to meal or what I like to call “emergency meal”. You can always put together a sandwich even if you haven’t prepared for it in advance. In our home, I usually keep a container of chicken salad so that whenever we need an emergency meal, we have something to put together without us all collapsing from hunger. Amazing sandwiches are easy to make; you just have to make sure you have your ingredients ready.
I love slow cooker meat sandwiches. Slow cooker tenderizes any type of meat without losing the flavor. It also helps the meat retain its moisture and its juiciness.
My husband and my kids love pulled pork sandwiches and chicken sandwiches because they’re tender and flavorful. They go so well with bread and with cheese. Just like this Italian beef meat.
This Italian beef sandwich recipe is one of my family’s favorites. The best thing about this meal is that we can eat it however we want to. I usually just place every condiment on the table and allow my husband to make his sandwich the way he wants to.
My kids usually leave the bread alone and eat just the beef and the cheese on top of the beef. That’s alright with me as long as they are eating. This is a recipe meant to be enjoyed with the family.

Quick Tip: Since the meat will be shredded directly into the sauce it cooks in, trim some of the fat from the edges of the roast.
