I haven’t visited my favorite coffee shop in months. It was located across the office building where I was working. I used to frequent it every morning for my coffee and pastry fix. However, when I got pregnant with the twins, I decided to resign and find a job that would make me balance my family and professional life. I was working from home ever since, and it’s only when I go to the area that I am able to visit it.
A few days ago, business brought me to the area so I decided to pass by it to check out their newest offerings. I knew I will be regretting it after, but I still did so anyway. Because if I loved what I was going to find, I wouldn’t be able to eat it for a long time until I’m brought there again.
Turns out I was right. There was a chocolate covered cake there that I tried with my cafe Americano. The cake was so decadent and so sinful that I wasn’t able to finish the slice (they have huge slices too).
I brought the leftover piece home so my husband could taste it. He fell in love with it and asked if maybe we can find something similar online. Thanks to Zucchero Dolce I was able to find something similar.
You should try making this cake for your family. It will be so worth it.
