Chicken is the best meat for our family. We enjoy it as much as we enjoy those sweet and rich desserts that we are always so crazy about. When it comes to main courses, chicken is the star in our hearts. Not even the more flavorful beef and pork can compete with it. Of course, it doesn’t mean that we don’t love beef, pork, and other meat- we do. It’s just that chicken is our most favorite; and if you visit us everyday, you will see that I cook chicken at least thrice a week.
It’s because of that same reason that I run out of recipes sometimes. Since I cook chicken that much for my family, I always ended up repeating the roster earlier than I do with the pork and the beef. And while it’s fine with my family, I want to serve them something different at least once in a while.
This oven roasted chicken with apple butter barbecue sauce is a blessing. I use apple butter for my desserts, but I have never tried using it with chicken. However, after trying this, all I can say is- it’s made for chicken!
The combined flavors of apple butter and chicken will be enough to drive your senses wild. This dish is something that you will not forget for a long time. It’s a savory recipe that will stay in your mind in the next few days.
