I know apples aren’t the trend right now, but my husband came home one night with loads of apples in a bag. He told me he got them from one of his colleagues who was out of town for a few days. I didn’t ask where his colleague got them, but I was suddenly full of inspiration. It’s been so long since I’ve made anything with apples as the main ingredients. I suddenly craved for an apple dessert that’s not apple pie or apple cobbler. I knew that I needed to make it or else I’ll cry.
I found this apple cake recipe from My Recession Kitchen. It’s a bit different because of only one fact- it’s eggless! But you will be surprised at how good it was given that it lacks the ingredient that most cakes have.
The cake is moist and really dense; one slice and you will be convinced at how good this really is. Also, it has cinnamon which goes so well with apples. It’s a perfect combination of sweet flavors in here!
I made this for my family and served it to them after dinner. My husband looked a bit relieved because I was pretty sure he didn’t know what to do with those apples too. But we always find a way, so there you go!
