One of my aunts is obsessed with caramel. She makes homemade caramel sauce, and she puts it in everything. I witnessed her once while she’s drizzling caramel sauce all over her steamed fish. To be fair with her, it actually tastes delicious; that is if you’re a fan of food crossovers. The sweetness of the caramel sauce complemented the taste of the slightly salted steamed fish. I might have made it once for my family and well… they loved it.
Caramel sauce is quite a versatile ingredient, isn’t it? You can put it in almost every dessert, certainly similar to chocolate sauce. You can even use it for bread when you find yourself in need of something sweet.
This macadamia cheesecake will probably make my aunt flip in a nice way. All the caramel and nuts in there-they are enough to drive anyone crazy. Okay, they are enough to drive me crazy!
I baked this for my family using the family cheesecake recipe that I have always followed. But the sauce definitely came from this recipe from The Answer Is Cake. The sauce is so heavenly you will feel as if you’re swimming in caramel sea.
The recipe originally came from Tiny Tea Room and was shared via The Answer Is Cake. You can visit their sites for more cake recipes. But for now, you can find the full recipe on the next page.

Quick Tip: If you don’t have too much time to make the cheesecake, you don’t have to make it all yourself. Just buy a good quality cheesecake and top with the crunch and sauce.
