The Glory Of This Chicken Recipe Is Insurmountable

One of my uncles love to name his recipes after him. When he serves us his famous pork roast, he always calls it Pork Roast A la Bob. Sometime he serves us his unique mashed potatoes and calls it “Mashed Potatoes De Bob”. We find amusing and cute at the same time. Amusing because not everyone would want a dish named after him or her. And cute because Uncle Bob looks really proud of himself all the time. Well, with the taste of his food, he should be.

What’s in a name really? When you think about it, do our names define us or do we define our names? I asked Mom before how they came up with my name; and she told me my names came from two famous women.

One of the women was a daughter of a senator- she was brave and strong. The second woman was a character from a famous television show during hers and Dad’s time- she was beautiful and smart. I have two first names and this is the story of my name.

This recipe called Chicken A La Gloria from Cooking With Sugar made me think about names. This recipe is named after the mother of our recipe source. And I found it interesting and cute.

The taste of this recipe is not just interesting and cute though- it’s creamy, it’s savory, and it melts in the mouth. You have to try this.

Quick Tip: This dish goes well with rice or noodles because there is usually extra sauce in the baking pan.
