Melancholic days are inevitable. Sometimes, it doesn’t have anything to do with what’s happening in your life; sometimes it’s really just the weather. You just wake up one day not feeling like yourself, and then it affects your mood all day. I usually experience this during the warm months because the heat really gets to me. But I always know how to lift my own mood- I don’t want my bad mood to last all day because I have kids to take care now. So I always go to the kitchen and make something- a good dessert will always brighten up my day.
I love fruits in my desserts. But since they are the fruits you can always see at groceries, I usually use berries in my desserts. Strawberries and blueberries are my most favorite since they’re the easiest to find.
Mangoes are a luxury to me. I don’t often make dessert with it because I don’t know a lot of them. However, whenever I make one, my family rejoices- they love mangoes.
Mangoes just have that natural sweetness that doesn’t taste too tangy. They’re really made for desserts that are meant to impress. Just like this mango cardamom crumb cake recipe.
It will remind you of those little tarts that are crumbly and at the same time soft and sweet- yes, I have a feeling that you will love this!
