My family and I had a few visitors over the weekend. My cousin and her family came to visit to consult my husband regarding a project. While our husbands are talking about said deal on his study, my cousin and I watched over our children. She has two daughters who were both older than my sons by a few years. Still, we were all happy that they still got along well all the time. Cousins should always watch each others’ backs.
This particular cousin of mine was one of my favorites. We all grew up with relatives one way or another; and we always became close with someone from the group. In my case, it was her.
We had a really nice conversation about her life and mine. And how our dreams from childhood had come true in the recent years. It feels nice to talk about these things with someone who witnessed the start of it.
My cousin also volunteered to cook supper for us while I watched over the kids. We had an amazing dinner of fresh salad, a simple icebox cake courtesy of me, and the cheesiest chicken recipe I have ever encountered!
I couldn’t forget about that recipe so I searched online for a similar one and found this version. You can find the full recipe on the next page. I know you’re going to love this!
It’s chicken and it’s cheesy; what else is there to say?
