Try This Fancy Fuss-Free Torte For Instant Dessert Gratification

Angie is not fond of attention. She is probably one of the most hardworking people I know, yet she doesn’t want to be recognized for all her efforts. Attention makes her uncomfortable; and as long as she knows she is helping people, she will do it without her name being dragged into the spotlight. Angie is a bit of an introvert. She mostly keeps to herself. She has friends of course. There are very few of us though.

I kind of understand her situation because I am like her. It’s just that my previous jobs helped me to come out of my shell. It also kind of helped that I got to keep the friends I made all of these years.

It was the birthday of one of our friends. We were busy preparing the house for him and all of the finger food that we failed to realize that we didn’t have any cake for him. It’s tradition for all of us to at least have a cake for our birthdays because we might “change the world” with a birthday wish.

Angie was the one who solved all of our problems. She made this torte cake out of frozen pound cake that she saw on the fridge. She whipped it up in no time! When the birthday boy arrived and got to have his improvised cake, he was nothing but grateful towards Angie.

Angie, who didn’t like the attention, simply kept quiet. But there was that small twinkle in her eyes that told us she appreciated it even if she was too shy to voice it out.
