Apples are the type of fruits that we eat all year because they make really good desserts. We keep a bunch of apples in the kitchen all the time; both for munching and snacking in between meals, and also to use for desserts. I love them more when they’re coated in sugar because I have had my fill of apples when I was a kid. I think I kind of stopped being too fond of them after that. But it doesn’t mean I don’t like them anymore. In fact, I still love them.
At home, our favorite apple recipe is apple pie, the kind of pie that my husband and I grew up eating in our childhood homes. But since that takes a bit of time to make, I usually settle for apple cobbler. It’s quite similar but not quite, but it temporarily satisfies the craving.
We usually eat apple cobbler with a serving of vanilla ice cream. We really love rich desserts. We enjoy them more if they’re creamier or tastier.
