This Grownup Tuna Casserole Is Definitely Kid Friendly!

My sons have taken a bit of an interest in a particular sport lately. One of their uncles from my husband’s side of the family gifted them a mini basketball set. It’s about half as tall as me so it’s not that… er… tall. My husband is actually a bit disappointed that they seem to be more interested in basketball than in baseball, but the way the kids watch baseball with their dad, I don’t think he will have problems about that.

Since it’s still a bit too cold outside for outdoor sports, the father and the sons always turn the living room into a makeshift basketball arena. My husband is responsible enough to make sure our vases are hidden before they start making a mess of the living room. And that’s what’s most important; I don’t want the kids to get hurt.

One time, while they were busy becoming MJ, Shaq, and Kobe, I was at the kitchen trying to become an acceptable version of Martha Stewart. I was making them this tuna casserole that was so tasty I had to stop myself from eating in advance. This was a freezer meal version, so I was just waiting for it to bake.

But the enticing smell got to my family. They were in the kitchen even before it was fully cooked. Food truly is more important than anything else.
