All mothers think about the welfare of their families, that is a fact that we can never deny. We always want the best for our family even if it means we need to sacrifice a few other things just to get it. One of our ways to ensure that our husbands and kids get the best of everything is by making sure they eat right. Of course, it’s inevitable that we serve them really rich food at times. I deliberately do that, but I control the servings for my kids. I don’t want to deprive them of the good things because it will backfire when they grow up.
Well, I am not a psychologist, but I read a lot of books. One book says that for your children to have the kind of discipline you want them to have, make sure you don’t totally cut them off from something (that’s not really bad). You just have to guide and take control until they can on their own.
One example is eating junk food. My husband and I love snacking on potato chips sometimes, and we always give a couple of pieces to the children, but that’s it. In turn, they don’t ask for more.
This recipe of chicken and veggies from Food Snob 2.0 is an example of a meal that’s totally approved by a mother like me. It’s easy to make and healthy too, what more can a mom ask for?

Quick Tip: To keep the chicken from swimming in juices, stick some foil wrapped potatoes in the bottom.
