As a kid, my only hero was my mother (not that I didn’t look up to my dad, I did). She’s a super mom for me; she can do anything, even the most impossible things, because she is a mother. I hear this from a lot of kids that I have met: “Moms have super powers even greater than Spider Man and Super Man!” As I grew up, I realize that my mother will forever be my hero, and that it was okay for me to look up to other people. I became a fan of a teacher or mine as well as a friend of mine.
And now, I am also a fan of my husband because he’s the perfect partner in life and the most ideal father to my kids. We all look up to someone during the different phases of our lives. And I want my sons to look up to someone worth looking up to. Heroes, idols, or however you want to call them, are a huge influence to people; and I want my sons to have the ideal influences.
As of the moment, my husband and I will gladly take on the roles. So that when our kids are old enough to understand what a role model should be, they have a guide. We will try our best to be good role models to them.
Anyway, this pan seared steak might not be a role model, but my family is definitely a fan of this!

Quick Tip: When the steak comes out of the oven, allow it to rest for 10 minutes. This will allow the steak to redistribute its juices.
