Eating homemade pizza is like hitting a home run; it definitely feels great! I am a fan of homemade pizzas, and as much as possible, I want my family to enjoy homemade pizza recipes that are far better than take-out once. At least I get to control the ingredients going on in there. Whenever it’s baseball season, my husband invites one of his brother and my own brother to watch with him. He’s such a huge influence on my brother because he never used to like baseball. Now, he’s one of the sport’s big fans!
The three of them always order take-out pizzas because they don’t want to inconvenience me. That is quite a thoughtful thing to do, but I find myself feeling uncomfortable about that. If I can make them homemade ones, then I should just do it.
During last season, I told my husband that I will just be making them pizzas. He looked surprised, but pretty pleased too. He agreed and wished me good luck as he prepared the living room for their viewing party.
My homemade pizza turned out really great. I used my mother’s recipe for the dough (hers has chewy crust) while I used my own recipe for the sauce. I also put ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, and lots of mozzarella cheese!
My sons and I enjoyed the pizza with them. We were eating while they were eating and watching. Sounds fair, isn’t it?

Quick Tip: Sprinkle cornmeal on the pan before placing the dough on it makes the dough crisper on the bottom.
