Most of the time, I allow my kids to eat ice cream. I just try to control the amount they eat so they will not get used to eating a large amount of ice cream. However, if it’s homemade ice cream, I tend to be a little lenient and give them another scoop.
Homemade ice cream reminds me of my childhood. Grandma used to make sorbet all the time. She made them from fresh berries and fresh fruits. She always served them to us during summers because we usually stayed with her and Grandpa for a couple of weeks. My mom on the other hand really made homemade ice cream. She has an ice cream maker already when we were teenagers, but back when we were kids, she just froze them in the freezer and it still tasted great. She made everything from vanilla to chocolates and to marbles!
