Just last week, my childhood was shattered; but I would say it was in a nice sweet way. I have always believed that brownies are supposed to be brown because they are supposed to be all chocolate. After tasting these glazed lemon brownies, I knew that a secret has been kept from me since I was a kid!
I am being a little drama queen, but can you blame me? I cook and I bake, yes; but I am not a professional who knows everything. So it’s truly shocking to me to find out that brownies can be yellow! I tasted this amazing glazed lemon brownies when I came over to a friend’s house for work. She was busy baking in the kitchen while I was asking her a few questions connected to the project I was working on. It was almost dinner time when we finished. Before I left, she let me taste these amazing lemon bars which I later learned as brownies.
I had to ask her for the recipe because I knew I had to make them for my family! My husband couldn’t get enough of them. He ate them with freshly brewed tea. I had to say no to my sons who wanted more. It was my weakness, their cute faces and the way they say, “More Momma”. Too much of a good thing is overwhelming sometimes. And these glazed lemon brownies are “good things”.

Quick Tip: You can double the batter if you want your glazed lemon brownies thicker.
