When it’s Super Bowl season, it only means one thing- my husband will be glued to the couch. Not even a live dinosaur can make him take his eyes off the television. I know nothing about sports. I do watch NBA when it’s NBA season, but I’m not really a sports enthusiast. Back in college, I was a member of the school paper, but I was more of the Features kind of girl than the Sports Section. Give me a volleyball and I will roll it like a bowling ball. My husband used to play baseball and he’s really good at it! But since his best friend used to play football, he got addicted to it too.
Super Bowl season means a visit from my husband’s best friend’s family. I love his best friend’s wife. She is like a sister to me. So whenever they visit along with their 7-year-old boy, I am happy. We leave the older boys to watch the kids while we cook in the kitchen. She was the one who made this chili dog casserole, which became a hit with everyone. We had to make a mini casserole for the kids, one without chili on it, and they devoured it as if it’s pizza. This dish is the perfect companion for such a game night. Quick Tip: You can adjust the ingredients based on your preferences. You can use only 2 cans of chili instead of 3, if that’s how you like it.
