These peach crumble muffins have won the hearts of my grannies. I am talking about my maternal grandmother’s sisters. When my grandmother passed away, they took it upon themselves to look after us. Since they are not as strong as they used to be, the monthly visit is reduced to once a year per family.
But that is fine with all of us because we always visit them when we can. Whenever it was my family’s turn for their visit, I make sure I serve homey desserts for them. Desserts that I have learned from my grandmother through my mother. I don’t know, it just felt right.
During their last visit, I made them these peach crumble muffins. I usually made these using apple (Grandma’s original recipe), but I tried it with peaches. I learned this version from Home Cooking Adventure. It’s a winner recipe because my grannies loved them! They enjoyed eating the muffins as they caught up with our family.
My little boys loved them too and didn’t want to see them go, but the city wasn’t for them. They left our house with a promise from me and my husband that we would go visit them soon; and a box of these peach crumble muffins which they would eat on the way.
