This sweet and tart limoncello tiramisu had me at first taste. I am not a fan of limoncello. Actually, I am not a fan of desserts that have a strong taste of liqueur on them. Let’s say for example, fruit cakes. I was never fond of fruit cakes. I only tolerate the fruit cake of my mother because the taste of alcohol wasn’t that evident. Don’t get me wrong. I drink wine and other alcoholic beverage. However, if they are part of a dessert, I am not a fan. I prefer drinking them separately, pairing them with a dessert, instead of them being part of a dessert. However, just like my mother’s fruit cake, there are recipes that have the right amount of liqueur in them. This limoncello tiramisu is one of those. The taste of limoncello is not overwhelming. It just gives the tiramisu that tartness it needs to counter all the sweetness on it.
