Cakes make people happy, which is why we made that particular thing a tradition. Whenever it’s one of us, the younger generation, we always opt for safe cakes. Cakes that are easy to make yet a classic so that no one will be able to complain about how dry it is or how bland it tastes like. Classic cake family recipes are a bit easier to follow. However, if it’s one of the older generations (my mother and my aunts), they always make the impressive cakes.
During this particular reunion, it was Aunt Lily who was assigned to bake a cake. Aunt Lily loves to impress people not only with the taste of her cakes, but also with the way the cake looks. She’s a bit of a show off in a nice way. Her cakes are always picturesque. Aunt Lily made this berry mud cake. It’s not the usual mud cake that looks really messy. I think it’s called a mud cake because the chocolate is the color of mud. It’s a really sinful cake, I tell yah. One slice and I felt like I was floating in the clouds. The combination of berries and chocolates were just too heavenly to be true! Oh my goodness, you have to make this for your family! They will truly love this!
