My family is having a hard time saying no to a slice of pecan pie, and I really couldn’t blame them. This classic pie is irresistible most especially if you are using really good pecans. Last weekend, I made a pecan pie for my family to enjoy. Friday night, we were discussing what dessert they want for the weekend. Since the twins couldn’t really voice out their opinions that properly yet, it was the father who took it upon himself to say that they all wanted a pecan pie for the weekend. Since I myself couldn’t say no to anything with nuts, I consented. Saturday morning, I was already at the local grocery, shopping for ingredients. While I had most of the ingredients at home, I didn’t have the most important one. The pecans! I used Oh Nuts pecans for this, just like the suggested brand in this recipe. The pecan pie turned out so great half the pie was missing on the first fifteen minutes.
This classic pecan pie recipe by The Perfect Pantry gives you the most perfect slices. the pecans’ buttery taste and its texture just add to the richness of the pie. My twins ate their slices with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top while my husband its his with a dollop of whipped cream. He has a coffee pot beside him because he is turning out to be a coffee addict lately too. It’s safe to say that my family enjoyed their weekend dessert. And I am sure yours too if you try making them this amazing pecan pie recipe from The Perfect Pantry! A copy of the full recipe can be found on the next page. Enjoy!
