The eggnog cake that my mother used to make was a bit complicated. You know how it is. Back when we were kids, our mothers and grandmothers used the old methods of baking. Most of them had to do everything by hand, including the beating even. And since that’s how they grew up, they still make things that way. My mom still uses a hand whisk instead of an electric mixer sometimes! The next generation, our generation, is a bit luckier. There are a lot of kitchen and baking equipment now that make things easier for us. There are even cake mixes that allow us to make all types of cakes without a hassle. Yes, we do have it easier than them.
I found out about this eggnog cake few weeks ago from a friend whom I kept bothering for new recipes. That’s how it is if you are a mom, isn’t it?
