Pump Up Your Weekend With This Easy Coffee Cake Recipe!

This easy coffee cake recipe is one of my favorite recent recipes that was shared to me by a friend. They all know how I love coffee. And they all know that I will eat anything that has coffee on it and they learned it the hard way. When I was a kid, my mother said I had this quirk of pouring black coffee with sugar all over white rice whenever Mom served fried fish. Eating fried fish with rice soaked in coffee was something that I found totally delicious. I have not carried that quirk over when I grew up, thank goodness, but my love for coffee still stays with me up to now. So my friends know that every coffee recipe is to be part of my inbox.

 

It was my husband who took the taste-test for me. He absolutely loved it! He even had another slice after the first slice that I served him. He said I didn’t need to put frosting all over it. He said it’s good that way. In fact, he loved it just plain, without the frosting. I covered it with buttercream frosting just because I wanted to. He said the frosting was too rich. He suggested cream cheese frosting though. I have not tried that one yet, but he had me at “cream cheese”. It will definitely taste good with this coffee cake.
