Angel food cake is one that I was never a huge fan of. It just seemed like a waste to make an entire cake a plain vanilla flavor. I mean, I was always a chocolate girl myself, but if I ever made a vanilla cake, it likely had a layer of chocolate in the middle, or maybe even some strawberry. It just was not my thing to sit down and eat a slice of plain ol’ vanilla cake. That was too boring for my eclectic taste.
Well, years have passed and I no longer am that hippy young girl who had to have everything with a dose of fun and adventure. I am perfectly content with the simple things now. For example, this angel food cupcake recipe. What is better than having a light and airy cupcake with a cup of hot tea? Or maybe dunking little pieces in my coffee to warm it up? It is just the perfect recipe to enjoy by the fire on a cold night with my kids and husband or on my own after a long day of work. However you choose to make this, I assure you, these cupcakes will always be a hit. They are around here!
