Since my husband and I retired, we have been looking for more and more opportunities to travel. Since we have lived real south most of our lives, we have not really had the opportunity to get out much and travel while we had young kids and even teenagers. Just getting out of Florida was a hassle that took over 6 hours. Well, now we have a little more free time since we are empty-nesters and look to travel when we can.
Well, the other day, my daughter called and told me she had found a website with really cheap flights. She came right on over and helped me plan a couple of trips so I could show my husband when he got home. Although we spent quite some time planning a little vacation to Minneapolis, the one that stood out the most to me was Mississippi. It just seemed like such a fun place and after looking online, the food looked outstanding! I knew that it was where I wanted to go if my husband was okay with taking a little trip (and I knew he would be). Lucky for me, he was ecstatic to go so we booked our trip to Mississippi and spent the week eating away!
