Men have their game nights and we women usually have our movie nights. Our movie nights didn’t include men or any talk about men. Our movie nights are usually all about us girls and what we like. I know we’re working adults now, but we still have sleepovers. Sleepovers de-stress us. A night full of girl talks and chickflicks is something that we always look forward to for the month. We have this movie marathon night once a month, on a Friday. We make sure that everyone is complete because that’s what it’s for. Since we rarely see each other, we make sure that at least for that one night, we’re complete.
During last time’s sleepover, we decided to watch Pitch Perfect 1 and 2. That movie’s all about girl power and at the same time it also tackles the responsibilities adults experience. Sometimes there’s really a need to make a choice between what you love to do and what you need to do. Becca, the main protagonist of the movies, was torn about her career and her group at the second movie. She was able to manage both though. It’s just a matter of how you balance your time. We enjoyed the movie with Ariel’s chocolate souffles. There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying a good movie with a really good night snack!
