Whenever I eat at a friend’s house and I taste something that I really like, I always ask for the recipe. Sometimes, I even beg for it. There are recipes that are too difficult for an amateur like me, but I still ask for them because even if I don’t think I can do it, I always ask for someone to cook it for me. My best friend is one of my usual victims. Whenever I find a particular dish difficult to make, I call her to beg her and she will immediately come to my house or vice versa.
My recent favor to her happened after Almira, one of my friends, invited me over for lunch. She needed help in one of the sites she’s managing so she wanted to talk to me about a freelance writing project. The moment I stepped inside her house, I knew she was cooking something wonderful. The smell permeated the air and I had a hard time concentrating on the business at hand. Thankfully, we immediately finished and she finally served me this chicken recipe that she said she has gotten from her mom. It was chicken made more delicious by the combination of garlic, lemon, and thyme. She willingly gave me the recipe. And while it’s an easy one, I didn’t have the time so I kind of begged the best friend to make it for me. I found a similar recipe you might want to try and I will share them with you shortly!

Quick Tip: The fresh lemon juice can be replaced with any fresh citrus, like lime or orange. Dried oregano, basil, rosemary or an Italian seasoning mixture could be easily substituted for the dried thyme.
