Pork chops are one of my many favorite types of meat. I love a good meal that has a big, juicy, bone in pork chop. It just has flavor unlike any other. I was recently at a restaurant that served pork chops in just about any way you liked them. Savory, sweet, spicy or sour, you got it, they made it. It was quite interesting and seemed really delicious, so I decided to go with the sweet. I figured I could get savory pork chops anywhere, and I was not a huge fan of the spicy or sour idea so I went with sweet.
Well, since everyone knows I love apples, that is what I decided to go with. What came to my table was a huge bone in pork chop, definitely over an inch thick, grilled to a crisp perfection with a smothering of applesauce and sliced apples unlike anything I had ever seen before. The applesauce had created a glaze that had caramelized beautifully over the pork chops and it was simply amazing. I could not wait to try it again. With all the options on the menu, I knew every time I came, I would always order this.
