Diana was getting married in a few days. She was one of those we didn’t expect to get married at such a young age. She was more of a career-first-love-life-later type of girl who never really had a proper boyfriend. It’s the reason why we were a bit surprised when suddenly, we just got a call from her telling us that she would get married soon! And man, her groom was really quite the catch. They kind of really looked good together even if I just saw them together for the first time during that small get-together.
One of her sisters (she has four) decided to make a cake for the occasion. A cake that Diana will not forget for the rest of her life. I didn’t expect this type of cake though and I am probably more surprised than the bride. My best friend, who was with me during a simple gathering for the bride since they’re friends too, kept laughing at me. I was like, “Am I the only one who didn’t know about a root beer cheesecake cake until now?” Well, all I received were a series of hearty laughs. Some friends they were.
