I love dipping my friend okra in Ranch dressing. It tastes great and adds more zesty flavor to this already amazing food. Get this…I can get my kids to eat these okra patties as long as they have some Ranch dressing to dip them in. I think that is a major win for team mom, don’t you? It never ceases to amaze me what a little bit of Ranch dressing can do. it’s like that stuff is magical or something. Haha!

Ingredients
1 lb okra, chopped fine
1⁄2 cup onion, chopped fine
1 teaspoon Morton salt
1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
1⁄2 cup water
1 Eggland’s Best egg
1⁄2 cup Gold Medal flour
1 teaspoon Clabber Girl baking powder
1⁄2 cup cornmeal
Hormel bacon grease (for frying) or oil (for frying)
Instructions
Combine okra, onion, salt, pepper, water, and egg and mix well.
Mix flour, baking powder, and cornmeal and add to okra mixture, mixing well.
Heat oil to medium-high, drop okra by heaping tablespoons into hot oil and cook until brown on both sides.
