Bert is our resident prankster in the group. It’s always fun at first, but there are times when you just think that it’s not funny anymore and that you’ll just want to sock Bert on the face. There was a time when my boyfriend and him almost got into a fight just because Bert made my niece cry and he still wouldn’t stop. The thing is, my boyfriend is his original friend. I just became a friend by association. We all warned him that one day, his pranks will backfire and he would regret it!
It happened sooner than later, and one of our friends, his best friend, was there to witness it. He and his cousin were trying to prank one of their girl cousins who was a vegetarian to eat meat. His aunt’s turkey loaf looked like banana cake and it’s what he used to prank his cousin. It turned out his cousin wasn’t vegetarian by choice; she was a vegetarian because she was allergic to meat. She was brought to the hospital that day because she turned red all over and was itching all over. Bert’s parents were so angry at him that his best friend had to bring him home with him to let their anger pass. Since then, he becomes a bit cautious. But he still uses the turkey loaf prank sometimes. Food is meant to be taken seriously, Bert. And they’re always meant to make people happy!
