Banana bread was the very first baked good I learned how to make a young. newly married bride. I remember mixing all of the ingredients together in the bowl and pouring the batter into the prepared loaf pan. The banana bread baked up to perfection. When it was done, I left the bread to cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes. The aroma lingering in the air was almost unbearable! Finally, I got to slice off a hunk of that glorious bread and take the first bite. You wanna know what it tasted like? Salt. It tasted like salt. I read the directions wrong and used 1 tablespoon of baking soda instead of 1 tsp. However, the following recipe is amazing and you’ll like it a lot. LOL
My favorite banana bread recipe, a sweet, delicate loaf with the tiniest bit of a crisp on the edges, just got an upgrade. Coconut flakes add a hint of coconut flavor, and the Nutella swirl – well, really, there’s no need to explain the echelon of excellence that brings. If this banana bread was your beloved 2005 Honda, you just added heated seats and a new sound system. In other words, your happy place just got happier – Juggling With Julia

Quick Tip: For the Nutella swirl, I softened the Nutella in the microwave. Then I poured it in straight line down the center of the batter, and swirled it back and forth with a knife tip.
