One of the best times of the year is the fall season when we start to see an influx of fresh doughnuts and apple fritters at the local apple orchard. I love going to the orchard and getting freshly picked apples, cider, and those yummy fritters! Now, as I write this, we are way beyond the apple orchard months as we are almost to Christmas. however, that doesn’t deter me from getting my apple fritter fix. I just make the yummy things here eat the house by using a very special recipe from my grandma’s cookbook.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ that I’m a better baker that dear old granny but boy oh boy am I ever following in her footsteps. I guess you could say that grandma taught me well as did my mother. Anyway, these apple fritters are a real classic treat where I come from. They aren’t hard to make and they taste so very sweet. You’re going to love them 🙂
