When I came across this yellow cake recipe I was stunned. A 100-year-old cake recipe? Wow! I find it fascinating that I can make a cake that some other lady 100 years before me had made as well. I tried to make this cake as authentically as possible and didn’t use any electric mixers. I had to use my electric stove but should I of had a woodstove I would have used it. The moist level in this cake is amazing. I felt like my mouth was being rewarded every time I took a bite. And the homemade whipped cream…don’t even get me started.
