When I came across this yellow cake recipe I was stunned. A 100-year-old cake recipe? Wow! I find it fascinating that I can make a cake that some other lady 100 years before me had made as well. I tried to make this cake as authentically as possible and didn’t use any electric mixers. I had to sue my electric stove but should I of had a woodstove I would have used it. The moist level in this cake is amazing. I felt like my mouth was being rewarded every time i took a bite. And the homemade whipped cream…don’t even get me started. That stuff is so good and so easy to make you cannot pass it up. Home made whipped topping is the best and blows Cool whip right out of the water. Try it, you won’t be sorry if you do but you will be sad if you don’t.
This One Bowl Yellow Cake is the best yellow cake recipe you will ever try. It has withstood over 100 years of birthdays to become a classic, timeless dessert for all ages. Made in only one bowl, this homemade cake recipe is really simple. When it is done, top the cake with a heaping layer of creamy frosting to make it even fluffier. This cake is also super soft and moist. Bake this easy one-bowl cake from scratch and be impressed with its flawless outcome and delicious taste. – Recipe Lion

It is a 100-year-old recipe. We choose to incorporate brand names into our recipes as a courtesy to some of our favorite products. I’m sure, 100 years ago, folks used farm-fresh eggs 🙂
