Hello, everyone! I am so excited to bring to you this wonderful Amish-inspired recipe today. This particular casserole is called Yumasetti. I live in southwestern Pennsylvania and we have a large Amish community here.
They are part of the Somerset County Amish and are considered to be Olde Order. The Amish folks that I come into contact with on almost a daily basis are some of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met in my life. And you know what else? They make dang good food, too!
One of their most well-known casseroles is this Yumasetti dish. It’s flavorful, filling, and makes your belly feel amazing after you eat it. I hope you and your family enjoy this easy-to-make casserole just as much as mine do. Enjoy!

Quick Tip: For the bread crumbs, we used leftover hamburger and hot dog buns that we had in the freezer. This is a great way to use up some of those spare pieces of bread!
