Hello, friends! Are you getting ready for your big holiday meal, yet? I’ve been writing up a menu for what seems like days now.
It feels like I just got down preparing for Thanksgiving…haha…that’s because I did! So now, it’s on to the big Christmas dinner.
I think I like Christmas dinner better than I like Thanksgiving. When it comes to Christmas meals you get to change up the menu a bit and make a variety of holiday treats and dishes. Thanksgiving dinner is just far too predictable.
Now, that doesn’t mean I won’t be first in line to devour some turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie LOL I just like surprises. One of the best parts about Christmas dinner is the desserts. I have an entire table dedicated to dessert for my big holiday dinner.
Everyone makes cheesecakes, pies, and cookies so this year I thought I’d add a little something different to the mix and make this wonderful angel fluff. It’s a lot like cheesecake sans crust.
It’s made with cream cheese and cherry pie filling. It’s delicious and very easy to throw together. Plus, the dessert looks really pretty in the bowl. Enjoy!

Quick Tip: I like to eat this casserole with a dollop of sour cream on top.
What is Icing sugar
I believe it must be reference to powdered sugar.
Icing Sugar is Powdered Sugar
All looks so good
Would adding blueberrys upset the recipe?
I wonder if you could use another pie filling? We don’t care for cherry. Maybe peach or almost anything but cherry. I get the cherry cheesecake thing but we don’t care for that either. Maybe just skipping this recipe is best but it seems like a nice spring/summer recipe with another fruit.
I have made it with blueberry pie filling. It is delicious! Peach would be great too!
Strawberries!
Hi.
I want to know can I put strawberry Filling instead of cherry pie Filling?
Strawberry, blueberry or whatever you like will work.
Yes you can
Bertha Oliver….What is in icing sugar?
Powdered sugar, also called confectioner’s sugar or icing sugar, is a finely ground sugar made by milling normal granulated sugar into a powdered state.
Just what is fat free Cool Whip- since Cool Whip is an oil product? I’d never use that stuff!
Don’t care for cool whip. Could you use whipped cream? OMGosh, the calories would be uncountable, but who cares? Ha ha. Sounds delish!
That is what I would use.
where i come from its called punch bowl cake cause is made in a huge bowl but use straberries not cherries and use strawberry glaze is delish
Edible oil, not for me. I’ll either use RediWhip or whip my own Whipped Cream.
We are unable to eat Cool Whip. What can be used in place of that?
Thanks
whipped cream
Delicious?
I have made a recipe similar to this. You break up the cake, add a box of vanilla pudding, the cool whip and cherries. Mix it all together and put it in the fridge over night. It’s amazing?
How can you mix the creamcheese mixture into the cake pieces, it will bne too stiff…
does it have to be angel food cake or could it be a regular cake mix ???
