I love this casserole because it combines my two favorite things: Ground beef and cheese.
Check out what my pals over at Recipe Lion had to say about this recipe:
This cheesy noodle casserole is so good, people at the office went back for seconds. The ground beef tastes like a meatball because it was cooked with tomato sauce and garlic. The sour cream/cream cheese mixture unites the casserole and the cheese is golden perfection. This is an excellent weeknight dinner.
I can totally see why your co-workers went back for seconds! My mama always told me that going up for seconds at a party was rude but I think I’d make an exception if this casserole was being served.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked Barilla egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 (15-ounce) can Hunt’s tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings (to taste)
1 (4-ounce) package Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 cup Daisy sour cream
3 green onions, chopped
1 cup grated Kraft Cheddar cheese ( I used mozzarella)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread cooked noodles in the bottom of a medium casserole dish (2 quart).
In a frying pan, brown ground beef and garlic. Drain and discard fat. Add tomato sauce to the meat, heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings to taste. Pour meat the mixture over the noodles in the casserole dish.
In a small bowl combine the cream cheese with the sour cream and mix until smooth. Stir in green onions. Spread over meat mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over top of the cream cheese mixture.
Bake, uncovered, for 35 minutes.

Quick Tip: This casserole goes great with a dollop of sour cream on top!
Thank you to Recipe Lion for this great recipe.
I enjoy your recipes and print many of them but the printing isn’t as easy as it should be nor or the results. I don’t want all the extra symbols and technical computer info. Is there an easy way to put the ingredients and instructions on 1-2 pages without all the other stuff?
Hi, Sharalee! Our click on the NEXT pAGE link on page 1 and you’ll come to the ingredients and instructions. Highlight them with your mouse and then copy and paste them into a word document. Print. You can also use your printer’s feature of choosing which pages you want to be printed and leaving out those you do not. Hope this helps 🙂
I suggest an easy print option, for the recipe only, be added. I agree with prior comment. It is difficult and with today’s technology, should not have to copy & paste, etc. Thank you.
Please advise how many servings are in this dish? Hopefully a lot as there are a ton of calories.
Thank you!
