This is, hands down, one of the best casserole recipes I’ve ever come across and I can see why the Amish folk make it when the Bishop is coming over for dinner. You see, in the Amish community, the Bishop is the overseer of the community and church so he is very important. It’s like the president coming over for dinner so the lady of the house takes great pride in preparing for his arrival with an amazing meal.
As you can see by the looks of this casserole, it’s quite a show stopper. Despite it being a super delicious casserole it isn’t all that difficult to make and you won’t be in the kitchen all day, which is a plus. Enjoy!
