My husband is a huge hamburger lover. During the summer months, we have our grill fired up at least 3 times a week as we cook hotdogs, hamburgers, and other yummy meats. When winter comes rolling around it’s a bit uncomfortable to stand outside in the cold cooking over the grill.
This held especially true when we lived in Michigan. Try happily cooking a burger on the grill when you have 10-foot snow drifts blowing in your face. Pennsylvania isn’t much different but I do have to say that it is a tad warmer here than it is in Michigan.
Anyway, when we can’t have grilled burgers I have to improvise. Yes, I’ve cooked hamburgers in the house in a frying pan or on our handy dandy little skillet thingy, but it’s not the same, so why bother? I came across this cheeseburger crescent casserole and thought, “Hmm, now that looks really good!”
This casserole is perfect for winter and it seems like it’s more of a comfort food than anything else. We pile it high with all the fixins’ of a cheeseburger too. The kids get a real kick out of this and I know your family will enjoy this faux cheeseburger meal, too!
