Dijon mustard is so utterly delicious. When I was a kid, it was referred to as “fancy mustard” and my parents insisted I wouldn’t like it. I am pretty sure that was because they wanted to keep it all to themselves.
This chicken Dijon recipe is spectacular. It’s got all the right characteristics to be a perfect meal in my book – that’s minimal ingredients, easy to throw together any night of the week and very, very tasty! The addition of honey to the dijon mustard really adds robust flavor, too.
My kids really liked this part of the recipe. While my family isn’t a huge fan of regular mustard, they will eat the stuff out of Dijon mustard. They put it on burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and I think I even saw my son dipping his French fries in it which is kind of weird.
Either way, there’s no denying that it tastes perfect with chicken. You can serve this on a bed of rice, with mashed potatoes, or my favorite is angel hair pasta. This is a great weeknight meal or a Sunday afternoon pleaser. Who wouldn’t want to come home from church or work to this masterpiece?

Quick Tip: A side of roasted broccoli is perfect with this dish as the sauce tastes great on it!
Looks yum.
These recipes sound delicious! My printer will not let me print the recipes so I hand wrote one for future trial. I would like to have this website added to my emails, but don’t know how to make this happen.
My husband is a picky eater and I would like to surprise him with some easy tasty food. If possible, please send me some more recipes. Thank you.
Is this recipe supposed to include Italian seasoning? There is a comment at the top of this page about substituting tarragon and oregano for Italian seasoning, but I don’t see this in the list of ingredients.
