On our honeymoon, my husband and I took a trip to Paris. We ended up in a little restaurant called Angelina’s. We had no idea where we were or what the place was all about. We were two strangers in an unknown place and ordered some sandwiches. While they were the most expensive sandwiches we have ever enjoyed in our lives, they were quite delicious. After our sandwich lunches, we ordered a thick, delicious hot chocolate.
We had no idea what it would be like, but it turned out to be the absolute best hot chocolate I have ever enjoyed in my life! It was unbelievably thick, and came with a side of homemade whipped cream. It was a very dark chocolate, so it needed the cream to lighten up that taste.
However, the combination was insanely good. This recipe right here, it is a duplicate. It is the closest match I have found to that delicious Parisian hot chocolate.
