You Wanna Know What’s Really Good After Dinner? Plum and Blueberry Crisp!

When I think back to the times I’ve had plum and blueberry crisp or the classic apple crisp it was always one of the best comfort foods ever. The last time I made this particular recipe it was after my daughter had a particularly tough day at school. We had a wonderful bonding experience shopping for the ingredients at our local market, whipping it up together and then snuggling on our porch swing while we indulged and watched the dogs play in the backyard.

Check out what my friends at Group recipes had to say about this recipe:

This is similar to apple crisp only with plums and blueberries. There’s a nice balance of bitter and sweet. You may sub 1 pint fresh blueberries if you have them on hand.

It’s moments like these I know that both she and I will treasure forever. Remember there’s nothing quite like a home-cooked treat to soothe what ails you! Cooking a delicious treat like this doesn’t have to be a chore but rather a wonderful memory to cherish for you and yours.

Quick Tip: Sometimes the dish will bubble over the sides of your baking dish, so it’s smart to place a baking sheet underneath with aluminum foil for easy clean up.
