Baked apples are one of my favorite things to eat but it wasn’t always this way. In fact, when I lived in Michigan, I hadn’t even heard of baked apples. Here in Pennsylvania, everyone makes baked apples for the holidays.
They pile on the butter, sugar, and sugar… did I already mention sugar? These Pennsylvanians sure do love their sugar! Now, these baked apples are a bit different than what you’re probably used to.
For one, they are more of a caramel apple, however, they aren’t on a stick. I like the fact that they aren’t on a stick and you can eat them with your fork. Making these delightful little apples is a snap and the perfect fall treat for you and your family. Enjoy!

Quick Tip: I made my baked apples with the peeling on them but the next time I’ll be taking them off as the skins became to tough.
