2. Smothered Pork Chops
Not much gets better than pork chops and mashed potatoes as a home cooked meal, unless they are smothered in a creamy bacon sauce like these are. Oh my goodness they were addictive and just plain good. I am so glad I made two per person because one would’ve just been disappointing.
I wanted to roll around in this sauce it was so good! I have long been a fan of pork chops in many different ways, but I’ve never had them this way which is a surprise. In the south we like to smother our food with all sorts of things – gravy, grits, cheese… and so much more!
I’ve even had smothered chicken but never pork. Well, I guess there’s a first time for everything. There’s one thing I am absolutely sure of though, this will NOT be the last time I have them! They have that wow factor, and even my husband was impressed and he’s a picky eater.
