When you want a light and airy dessert, settle down to a slice of this Irish Tea Cake. It is wonderful! I think this cake would be perfect for a tea party, baby or bridal shower, or even during coffee hour with your gal pals.

Indeed, this Irish Tea Cake is very simple to make. It tastes light and fluffy, just as you’d imagine it would. I loved eating a slice of this cake with my favorite Earl Grey tea. Delish!
Ingredients
1/2 cup Land O Lakes butter softened
1 cup Domino white sugar
2 Eggland’s Best eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick vanilla flavoring
1 3/4 cups of Gold Medal all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Clabber Girl baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Morton salt
1/2 cup of TruMoo milk
1/4 confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Instructions
Preheat over to 350 degrees F
Grease and flour 9 inch round pan
In a medium bowl cream together butter, sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs next one at a time
Stir in vanilla
next combine flour, baking powder, and salt, stir into batter
alternating with the milk
If the batter is stiff add just a little more milk.
Spread batter evenly into pan
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes
cool in pan on wire rack then turn out onto serving plate
dust with powdered sugar lightly
