A little while ago, I was talking to my friend about her trip to her hometown of Brooklyn. She was telling me about all the unique things that she missed about this city from when she grew up. One of those things was half moon cookies, or as they call them in Brooklyn, “Black and White” cookies.
My curiosity was naturally piqued as she went on and on about these cookies and how good they are. I searched high and low for half moon cookies here in Pennsylvania and could not find them, so I knew I had to get my hands on a recipe and make them myself. Luckily for me, I did find a recipe and I did manage to make these cookies on my own.
Guess what? They didn’t turn out half bad for my first crack it making them. Everyone in my house thought they were super tasty and cute. I love how one side is covered in dark fudgy chocolate and the other in white. Kudos to the people of Brooklyn that created these awesome little cookies!
