Check out what my friend’s at Pillsbury had to say about this amazing apple cookie cobbler:
“Easy refrigerated sugar cookie dough is the tender and sweet crust for this updated fruit classic.”
I made this apple cobbler for my husband and I a while back and it was gone far too fast. We ate and ate and then I made it again. We could not stop eating this and had it for dessert every night! Now granted, if we did eat this for dessert every night we would probably have to buy bigger pants. LOL!
Ingredients
- 6 cups sliced peeled apples
- 1 cup packed Domino brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Gold Medal all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 tablespoons ReaLemon lemon juice
- 1 roll Pillsbury™ refrigerated sugar cookies
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Instructions
Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, mix apples, brown sugar, flour, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon, the allspice and lemon juice; toss to coat apples well. Spoon into ungreased 9 1/2-inch glass deep-dish pie plate.
Spoon cookie dough, by scant teaspoons, evenly over apples. In small bowl, mix granulated sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over cookie dough.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden brown and apples are tender.

Quick Tip: You can make these individual sized as well. I have put the apples and filling into individual ramekins and baked for about 20-30 minutes and they’re just as good.
