Simple, Savory Seared Scallops In A White Wine Sauce

When I was younger, I had no idea what a scallop even was let alone know how to cook them. One day, a trip to red Lobster changed all of that. I ordered something called The Ultimate Feast, which is a little bit of everything. Scallops were on the plate all drenched in garlic butter and seasonings. I was sold after the first bite. These little sea creatures tasted so dang good! After I got home that evening, I knew that I just had to find out how to make scallops. So what did I do? Called up mama, of course.

My mother told me it was very easy to sear scallops and she gave me a few pointers. Thanks, mom! Years later, I find myself being able to cook scallops in all sorts of fashions and flavors. So, today, I am sharing a very basic scallop searing recipe with you. Whether you’re a beginner cook or an intermediate diva behind the stove, you’ll find this recipe totally yummy and easy to make.

Quick Tip: Searing scallops is easy, but you want to keep a close eye on them while in the pan as you don’t want them to burn.
