This fall my house turned into a jam making factory. I happened to can 9 quarts of strawberry rhubarb preserves in a day. That is a lot of jelly, ladies and gentlemen. There will be no bare biscuits in this house! After all that jam making, I decided to go for a walk on the trail behind my house and much to my amaze, I found these odd-looking fuzzy green berries that resembled weird looking grapes. After badgering my neighbor to come out and tell me what they were (he’s an herbalist) I learned that they are gooseberries. Gooseberries! I just love that name.
I picked probably half a gallon of these curious little berries and headed back to the homestead to make more jam. I found the perfect recipe over at Hub Pages and now I am going to share it with you. I hope you enjoy making this jam as much as I did!
